Comments: Please consider fencing in the off leash area. Dogs can't read the signs.

Comments: there is a need for off-leash areas which are not the second class areas that the public does not want.

Comments: The very limited existing off leash area (below the bridge and in the woods) is insufficient in size, it is dangerous and hazardous. It is inhabited by homeless people, some of which are agressive and possibly dangerous. It is scattered with broken glass, and garbage, and the streams and ponds contain a thick oily substance that is impossible to clean off the dogs, not to mention its unknown chemical makeup. The area is unlit, and there is no running water for dogs or people to drink. The areas size is insufficient for dogs to run and play. In contrast, the area on the resevoir behind the tennis courts in question is an ideal place for dogs to be off-leash. It is safe, clean, and removed from the other field, tennis court entrance, playground and traffic. It is lit, and there is running water nearby. Making this area an allowed off-leash dog area would enable a safe place for people with dogs to exercise and enjoy the outdoors, while having a very minimal effect on others using the majority of this great park area.

Comments: Off leash areas which are supervised by responsible owners or walkers have never been a problem and are a welcome part of city life even for those who just like to watch dogs play and don't own a dog.

Comments: Dogs are a great part of a family and a well behaived dog is a tired dog, to do this, they need to run and play in a safe.

Comments: As an area resident, I would really enjoy a local and legal off leash place to take my dog to play. Most dog owners are responsible enough to make sure the area remains clean.

Comments: I support the off the lease initiative. As a dog owner I find it problematic and cruel when my dog must stay on the lease almost everywhere in the city and therefore has difficulty exercising properly. I also accept the responsiblility as should other dog owners to pick up after my dog and leave the parks clean.

Comments: It would be nice if the off leash area is enclosed by a fence, thereby minimizing the risk of confusion.

Comments: We need areas for dogs to run free. As a previous dog owner I understand the importance of leash free areas. Also I know the Winston Churchill park area and agree this would be good area for the zone.

Comments: What we need are gated off-leash areas. Toronto is very much out of date, given other cities such as Montreal, and in light of the number of dogs in this city. Only a fenced in area is truly an off-leash park, both in the interests of the dogs and other park users.

Comments: I have been a resident of this neighborhood for over nine happy years. I respect our community for those with dogs and those without. It would be great to see a designated leash free zone area for the dogs that would be a free to run around and neighbours to enjoy a safe community environment. Feel free to correspond via my email, this is my vote to kindly request a a well lighted area for a free dog leash portion of the Winston Churchill park. Sincerely, Carlos L

Comments: I grew up in the area of the 'park'and have alway brought my dogs there exersise. I currently do not live in the area but am often back to visit. When I am there I take my dogs to the 'park'. I completely support the establishment of a off-leash area, so people and pets can continue to enjoy this great public area.
