Comments: I belive the school board is getting desperate, and i belive that the school board does not know what their doing. I fell like their decisions are either going to affect the future of greeley or just become bankrupt.

Comments: people up high believe its better for our education! it actually causes controversy! our lunch period is good as it is! it has never caused problems and its basically a necessity to GCHS, GWHS, and NHS to have 50 minute lunch periods! At Central, students are still waiting in line after 50 minutes just to get their lunch served! its bad enough that that is happening, imagine if yu have to server 500-750 students in 30 minutes! no one will be happy, many students wouldn't get the food they need, and many students would not return to class! they might think its going to work out but it's not it's an un-thought plan!

Comments: 30 min lunches are rediculous. This is highschool. Kids will do whatever they have to in order to dine with their friends at lunch. This means half of the schools students will not return back from lunch. It is our only break of the day, don't cut it in half. Kids have only so much of an attention span. The 50 minute lunch period is a vital necesity towards the students of Greeley recieving a decent education. If we have to use our brains, I ask you to use yours District 6.

Comments: This idea of ' cutting back' is not the ideal way of doing so. I find that it will be difficult to go anywhere in 30 minutes. Northridge is in the middle of no where already, and when putting a time contrant lunch by knocking off 20 minutes, it will be impossible for them to go off campus. Our 3 high schools do not that the facilities for keeping 1500 students on campus and feed them all in 30 minutes, so why propose the idea of them speeding their way to lunch. On the roads out of West, the speed limit is 25 mph, which is slow for a 50 minute lunch period. But in 30 minutes, that one road alone takes 5 minutes to drive down. I would like to see the School district people who are making these decisions to attempt what it is like to be a student at all of our high schools. And this whole time change of school! What is the point of letting us out at 2:50 compared to 3:00 . They just change the time of getting out earlier while making us to go to school earlier. That is not cutting back. That is making high schoolers wake up 10 minutes earlier. We do not care about getting out ten minutes ealier. This has been one of the worst ideas come to our district.

Comments: i disagree with what the district wants to do i don't know if its for district budget reasons or just to make school more of a living hell than it is. Just leave lunch time as it is because no one can make it in 30 minutes anywhere it simply takes up to half your lunch time sometimes to get your food at some fast food restaurants plus the other ten minutes you spend in traffic!!!!!!!!

Comments: The new schedule changes will only cause problems for everybody. First, 35 minutes is not enough time to go off campus, drive somewhere, wait in line there and finish eating, and drive back, so the students would be forced to eat at school. Greeley West does not have a big enough kitchen to put enough food into to feed 1400 students. Greeley West does not even have enough space for 700 students(half of the enrolled students) to eat at school because the builders of the building did not build in a big enough room for 700 students to sit down and eat. The lines will be too long at school to get everybody through the line, let alone have time to eat it in 35 minutes. Those who do try to go off campus will have to race to and from the restaurants. This will become a hazard to everybody as there will be a huge increase in wrecks. If someone has to die in a car accident in order to show the school district that this is a bad idea, then it will be a very sad day to be on the board because they would know that they were warned that this will happen.

Comments: A and B lunch sounds ridiculous to me! I know it may solve the crowded lunch room problem if anything but what else might it accomplish? Does this mean we wont be able to go off campus anymore? We need to hang out with friends every now and than 7 hours of school with just a 30-35 break is not my idea of a perfect school! And I'm sure everyone else on this petition may agree with me.
