Let us the public learn how to manage beach, nearby sea resources and waterfront land sustainably.
Who is going to be the first to build a home that supplies its own electricity, collects and stores its own water and has connected food and medicinal gardens? Are we ready for composting toilets and compost heaps?
Can we do without plastics and certain innapropriate substances?
When will a politician emmerge that encourages soil enrichment and conservation? |

| 1362 | Patrick Rosshirt | Please provide some update. It is now June 8th 2008. What the ras is taking so long.Justice delayed is justice denied. Are you to busy murdering each other to solve this never ending issue? A promise is a comfort to a fool. Wake Up Mr. Golding it is time to led or leave. There are still at least five flights to Miami a day, Take Michael's advise if you are afraid. |
| 1363 | Jude Campbell | Yet another beach in Jamaica under threat? Do the people of Jamaica not matter at all? And what about people like myself and my family who would rather have the choice of using beaches which are open to all. We are of Jamaican parentage and live in the UK. When we visit Jamaica we have no interest whatsoever in staying in private/all-inclusive hotels, prefering to see the real beauty of Jamaica. It's such a shame that this beautiful country is being spoiled by greed. I appeal to people to boycott these places. Do not be brainwashed into thinking that you need to stay in these places to be safe. Remember that you are only feeding these selfish peoples greed and doing nothing but damage to the Jamaican environment and economy |

| 1370 | Anonymous | I no longer live in Jamaica but try to visit as often as I can. Jamaica has been known for having the best beaches and I think that deveoping this area will not only prevent visitors as well as locals from enjoying this public beach but will have a negative effect on the area. |

| 1375 | elizabeth ernst | agreed - very beautiful place, thinking of relocating to fairy hill - only if this gem is preserved -can't see another loss of beaurtiful natural resouces - Blue Lagoon, Silver Sands, etc. Good luck! |

| 1377 | Patrick Rosshirt | It,s nearly the end of June without resolution. The courts have proved their inability to provide justice in a timely manner to the people of PORTLAND Parish. This matter has lingered far too long. Justice delayed is justice denied, and this is one of the many reasons that the people of Jamaica often take the law into their own hands. There will be no PEACE, without EQUAL RIGHTS and JUSTICE. The government is the greatest impediment to peace. A house divided against itself can not stand. UNITE and resolve this issue for the children of Portland. Do this one thing well and do it Now! PEACE |

| 1391 | Patrick Rosshirt | As Independence Day approaches without resolution to the Winnifred issue one can only hope that the court will continue to fiddle on the road to justice. As long as justice is delayed the people of Portland will be the beneficiaries with continued unabated use of the beach. Without resolution and the status quo being maintained it becomes more difficult for the people of portland to be dispossessed of their inherent right to Winnifred Beach. It seems in this case that justice delayed has thus far been justice natural and pure. Long may the this truth be evident that the natural rights of the people can not be taken away by any court. |

| 1394 | Ursula Wiesmann | keep winnifred beach free to the public. Thank you. |
| 1395 | Lisa Wight | Allow Winnifred Beach to remain as it is - a beach for Jamaicans and visitors to enjoy. What's the purpose of living on a beautiful island if all of the beautiful beaches belong to the resorts? |
| 1396 | Gary D. Brown | |
| 1397 | Riccky Brown | Public beaches should remain that..
why are we selling ot our country to money hungry investors..be it black or white especially white. They do not live here and do not care about Jamaica. The past government and this one as well are to be held accountabl for all the environmental breaches, beach erosion, soil erosion, disasters that have been happening and will continue to happen until we the people take a stand.
So i am all up for prevention of our publi beaches( the remaining ones) remain public. |
| 1398 | steven gruber | lets keep winnifred beach natural accessible and for ever. |
