Comments: Make the run time as long as it has to be. Make the run time 5 hours if you have too. Just don't do anything to detract from what truly is a great work of literature. Don't leave anything out, every detail and every panel in the graphic novel can not stand alone without the rest. With Watchmen...it is all or nothing.

Comments: It's a shame that more often than not the studios behind movie adaptions feel that they cannot run over a certain length of time. Any good work will take as much time as it needs. Besides, if I'm going to see a movie, it better be good enough and long enough to justify the $20 it costs.

Comments: This wonderful graphic novel can barely all be contained in a 3 hour runtime, let alone 2 and a half hours. Do not take out any of the story. And make it run 3 hours or longer.

Comments: As with any film published these days, I will watch it in cinema when it gets good reviews and promises to be memorable. I rarely go to the cinema because so many films are ultimately just a rehash of "proven" profitable themes and cut down to a suitable format and running time for the lowest common denominator. There are films out there that prove that this is not a necessity, provided the film is actually considered good. The Lord of the Rings trilogy proved that a good film can be profitable, even when it runs well over 3 hours in the cinematic release. But even so, if Zack Snyder's work feels right at 3 hours, why even consider trimming it down Does Warner Bros want to produce a good, memorable film adaptation of one of the defining works for the comic genre, or is it ultimately only about the bottom-line Does Warner Bros really consider the potential audience for Watchmen to be the same kind of people who go to the cinema to see flicks such as "Juno" or "Alvin and the Chipmunks". We don't want to be entertained for a quick one and a half hours, we want to be overwhelmed.

Comments: This movie has got to be at least 3 hours! There's too much story! Cutting it down might get more showings in, but how much impact will the film itself have if the core fan base is uninterested in a simplified version of the movie. WATCHMEN is poised to become a classic. One that will be a money maker for you folks at WB for decades to come. In the same way other WB classics have done so like THE MALTESE FALCON. That is IF the film is done right. Zack Snyder and crew have accomplished this. They have filmed the unfilmable. Let them release the version that does the material justice. They know what they're doing. Have faith in them. Thanks!
