| 1 | Kathleen Grasso Andersen | It is unfair to our service men and women for our gov't to send them into combat without first making sure that that the threat is imminent and real and further, to not follow the proper Consitutional procedures before asking them to risk life and limb. American families need answer to so many questions, we need Congressional hearings to deliberate what our military personel's rights and duties are in the instance of the use of force in Iraq. Too many issues are unclear. |

| 4 | Terry Hildebrand | I admire Ehren's courage and honesty. His father has demonstrated the same traits in standing up against a corrupt Democratic Party machine in Hawaii. |

| 11 | Nancy Warner | This young man has shown uncommon valor and should not be made into another victim of this illegal war of occupation. Many young men and women eagerly volunteered to fight the enemy who viciously attacked us, killing thousands of innocent American civilians. The country united behind this common cause.
Our invasion into Iraq, based on lies, manipulation and cherry-picking intelligence information was a crime against the American people who were clearly betrayed by their elected officials.
This young soldier tried to honor his commitment, and offered alternatives that would allow him to serve his country and maintain his values and integrity. The military has decided to make an example out of him rather than find an equitible solution. If they continue to pursue this course of action they should prepare themselves for a heated reaction from American citizens who consider his actions heroic.\ |
| 12 | Anonymous | This is an illegal war. The Nuremburg Statutes are clear about what an officer's response to illegal orders must be. Lt. Watada is doing exactly what an honorable officer in the service of the U.S. should be doing. |
| 13 | J Edwards | |
| 14 | Lee Baxter | Congress needs to look to itself for it's failure to exercise any meaningful oversight on a commander in chief who ought not be allowed to command a herd of cows, nevermind a highly trained military filled with fine young people like Ehren Watada. It is long overdue that Congress show some support for the young people who have the courage to call attention to the rot within this invasion. |
| 15 | Adam Grandin | Lt Watanda is a role model, not a criminal. |
| 16 | Cheri Johnson | |
| 17 | Jacalyn Engler | Many young people join the military and reserves to help protect US! It was wrong to send them to kill and die for the bush administrations' greed.
Our soldiers should not have to kill innocent people or torture people if they feel it is wrong. |
| 18 | Robert Armstrong | When one awakens to the world around them it becomes one to make decisions from ones heart, and for those who have this wisdom, to respect the awakened ones. |

| 32 | Annie | No one should be prosecuted for refusing to fight an illegal and immoral war.
It is those in the White House who lied about WMD and sent our soldiers to Iraq who should be prosecuted. |
| 33 | Rick Burrows | This young man with all the courage, bravery that anyone can possibly possess, and with the conviction of what the truly moral thing to do is, should never see the inside of a prison not even for a second.
The ones that should be jailed are the leaders of this country who lied and abused this young man by taking advantage of his probity and using it for their greedy agenda with no regards for his life. Especially guilty are the two at the very top who pulled as many strings for themselves to get out of fighting another war long ago. They are the deserters, traitors and turncoats not the young men and women like Lt. Ehren Watada. |
| 34 | Bonnie McFadden | Lte Watada is carrying out his duty to refuse to carry out an illegal order. The war on Iraq is in violation of international treaties which is incorporated into U.S. law: a war of aggression without United Nations approval, is a war crime. Thus, ordering our soldiers to fight in Iraq is against U.S. and international law.
Lte. Watada should be given a medal for carrying out his duty in the face of overwhelming opprobrium, not subjected to court martial. |

| 36 | George O'Neill | I applaud Lt. Watada for standing against this illegal war, started by the corrupt and morally bankrupt Bush regime! One day when all of this administration's crimes and deceptions are laid bare. Lt. Watada will be hailed as the hero he truly is. |
| 37 | Jody Woodruff | I agree in requesting a cnogressional hearing regarding Ehren Watada's case. He is a true patriot and should not be punished for being mislead by Bush's lies. |

| 40 | Barbara Moore | With this new election, it has become time for a thorough re-evaluation of this war. |

| 43 | Ken Jauch | Bush and Cheney and their whole cabal are the criminals. Prosecute them; not Watada! |
| 44 | Lori Hughes | |
| 45 | Philip Dennany | George Bush and Richard Cheney must be charged for their lies and deception in their conspiracy to invade Iraq and the slaughter and injury of so many thousands of innocent people as well as degrading our constitution and misappriation of hundreds of billions of US Dollars for that ilegal and imoral war. |
| 46 | Priscilla Min | |
| 47 | Despina Menon | Courageous individuals that firmly stand up for truth and justice for all of mankind on this planet are truly gifted individuals. One such individual is Lt. Ehren Watada. His actions bring forth the guiding light toward truth in the midst of our deteriorating society. |
| 48 | Eva Millette Coombs | Lt. Watada served honorably...if as a result of events in the line of duty, made him become an objector, it is not cowardice, but a result of the sincere conviction that he can help his troops and our country more, by declining to participate in this unjust war.
He should not be punished ... as all those who stay at home and never ever volunteer to fight, are not punished or even criticized by us. |
| 49 | Juan Rivero | |
| 50 | shannon monkowski | The people who should be tried and jailed are George W. Bush, Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice, Paul Wolfewitz, Paul Bremmer, and that other crook who helped cook the intelligence but got the medal of honor instead.... |
