I respectfully petition and earnestly implore the General Conference of the United Methodist Church to abolish ecclesiastical institutional discrimination against members of the United Methodist Church with covenanted same-gender erotic relationships (commonly referred to as "homosexuals") by: 1. Rescinding all paragraphs and sub-paragraphs of the Book of Discipline (2008 Edition) that mandate or otherwise require discriminatory or negative differential treatment of such members, which paragraphs and/or sub-paragraphs include, but are not limited to, the following: 304.3, 341.6, 806.9, 2702.1, and 2702.3.
