In short, the majority of social networking sites store their users data. The data collected includes the almost all interactions, photos, private conversations and affiliations. This in itself is not illegal or immoral - but people who generate accounts on these sites have a definite right to be fully informed of the extent to which their information is stored. This petition is for an agreement baring legal ramification if infracted. The agreement would require social networking sites and other data-collecting websites to fully inform users PRIOR to the collection of data and to permanently delete from record any and all data stored before the conscious knowledge of account holders.
