This is unacceptable and there is no decent excuse, they have completely theirselves to blame and had ample time to prepare ,test and spread out the traffic.

| 2367 | Aernoud | Mythic realy needs to revaluate the performance of GOA.
1. Is on commitment to provide similar services to EU players as US players get from Mythic. Just look at their site compared to warhammeronline. Nothing much happens there, not even links to the US stuff (should be easy enough).
2. Communication skills. Creating a happy community is all about giving players the information they need when they need. Specially when things go wrong.
3. Professionalism. They should hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Everybody could see the problems with the start of the OB coming. 1000s of topics were about it being unwise to put everything in 1 day.
4. Turst. The whole ´trust us, everything will run smoothly´ has seriously damaged the beleive that GOA can deliver the services at the same level as Mythic. DAoC was a fiasco, and the trust for WAR was thin. In one day they blew it. There is a Dutch saying ´trust comes on foot and leaves on a horse´ saying it is hard to gain trust and very easy to loose it. GOA just proved this saying to be true.
Mythic, I would suggest to move EU users to US servers, cut out GOA and either find a good partner or take back control yourself.
Better take the loss now, then when things have gone from bad to worse. |

They are treating this complete failure as a few minor hitches and they act as if they should be congratulated that they got the servers online at all (even though its hours after promised and only closed beta testers can actually get in) |

| 2375 | George | So, I have pretty much defended GOA for the last fews months, generally because I believed that the Closed Beta incident with CE owners in NA and the EU was not there fault (it was merely more testing for Mythic) and that they gave us ample time to sort out the Open Beta client download.
However, the 7th is here and it's a mess. They should have had the Account Manager sorted weeks ago, instead they left it to the last minute. I have no doubts that Mythic knew about their schedule, so maybe the blame rests on two sets of shoulders. Regardless, it's almost the end of 7th and I'm not in OB, not even been able to enter my codes, let alone patch. Help us out here Mythic! |
