Comments: There is no valid reason for not making this fundamental change. This age group has a bigger stake in the future of the country than those older. And there really is no question over their 'fitness' to vote.

Comments: The prohibiting of children below 18 or 19 or a decided age was and is still justified both by commonsense and developmental psychology. But it must now be understood, that many years ago, below a certain age most children does not have sufficient experience depending on the system of government experienced or sufficient sense due to lack of awareness of their parents or the society at large and of the longer term consequences of their choices to be treated non-paternalistically. Now, as we all understand, in this 21st century, in most societies there is a clustering of rights which children attain together and which define adulthood: the right to marry, to own a property, or to initiate legal proceedings in one

Comments: A country like Maldives where there are only 300,000 ppl in population and the youth counts a greater part in head count, on the otherhand in the Maldives citizan of 18 years old are subjected to under go leagal process and marriage and official employment age is set to 18 obove, i believe that all the maldivians of age 18 and above should have the right to vote to decide the future of their young country.
