Name: Susan Trudel on Oct 14, 2009Comments: What a sorry excuse for Wal Mart! I have over 750 students and 162 sewing (gr 5/6) club members that just love to sew. Small local fabric stores are great but this chain had hours that were conducive to working parents. They sell violent videos and guns yet yank the fabric off the shelves. Go figure.Flag

Walmart has always been a major source for supplies used in schools. Taking away this option puts these programs at a disadvantage!! PLEASE RECONSIDER!Flag

Name: Judith Walter on Dec 21, 2009Comments: every time I go to their craft dept they've discontinued something I need. I make victorian ornaments at christmas and they no longer have the lace I use or the silk rosebuds or the string of small pearls. I also liked their polyester/cotton material for sewing.Flag

Name: Joni Thomas on Jan 20, 2010Comments: I live in a small town and have no other place to buy fabric. Was in walmart today and is's so sad to see them filling in the area where the fabric was, with just stiff plastic flowers and marked down ugly shoes. Nobody wants that stuff! Name: Janice Giese on Sep 9, 2010Comments: Please don't discontinue the fabric departments in WalMart stores. 99% of my sewing is done for charity and without WalMart I won't be able to do as much, which in turn means I won't be able to help as many people. Why do the fabric departments have to go? Although I've recently heard all WalMarts will discontinue the fabric dept., I do wish you would reconsider this. This priced fabric is a Godsend to many of us.Flag

Name: Lynda Blocker on Nov 17, 2010Comments: I am a quilter...and I am a member of a local quiil club with at least 25 members who purchase fabric at out local walmart. We have other sources to purchase fabric, but we all shop the walmart fabric department on a routine basis. We are just outside a metropolitan area, but are also surrounded with many smaller communities. Like many others I seldom go into our local walmart store without stopping by the fabric department and almost always make a purchase. Our store has become so busy that when it comes to purchasing grocery items, I will go to another grocery store UNLESS I need something from the WalMart fabric & crafts dept. So, if fabric goes, I will definitely shop at Walmart less!!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 21, 2011Comments: I lived in the Wal-Mart craft department, we spent so much money on fabric and crafts as well as spending in other departments. Since the fabric department closed down .... We don't go to Wal-Mart any longer .... I think Wal-Mart made a huge mistake closing the fabric and craft department.Flag
