We the undersigned petitioners oppose the proposed Walkerville Town Centre Zone Plan Amendment Report
(P.A.R.) because it will:
• Permanently destroy the village character of Walkerville.
• Set a precedent for further high-rise development on the River Torrens Linear Park corridor.
• No environmental impact study, including the Torrens bank impact.
• Greatly increase traffic along Walkerville Terrace.
• Grossly exacerbate existing parking problems.
The amended P.A.R. has disregarded the views expressed in the Public Consultations
and has no strategy for parking or traffic flow.
WE OPPOSE DEVELOPMENT ABOVE TWO STOREYS in the Walkerville Town Centre.
YOUR PETITIONERS REQUEST that you note the opposition to the proposed amended P.A.R. and decline to approve it. |
