Comments: Please forward this link to anyone you know that wake boards, wake surfs, or wake skates. The wardens have been giving the code for which to cite us in VA. We need to come together to work with legislators and help them understand our fun and passion for the water.

Comments: Wake Surfing on inboard boats should be allowed. It is safe, and with proper equipment does not pose a danger to individuals.

Comments: While I am favor of the law change, I would like it to specifically identify the equipment needed (i.e. boat with an inboard motor/direct drive/v-drive) to safely perform the sport. I cringe when I see someone surfing behind a inboard/outboard...

Comments: There are many reasons one would use a rope of less than 50' especially during the training of an individual.

Comments: Hello, I believe wakesurfing should be permittable if being done safely. As long as the driver of the boat has a spotter on the rear of the boat and the rider is wearing a coast guard approved life vest than this is actually safer than being pulled by a 50 foot rope at higher speeds. Wakesurfing is typically done at speeds lower than 10 mph and is easier for some people who may not be athletically fit or out of shape. If you fall, lower speeds keep you from getting hurt as easily or keep you from obtaining a great distance from the boat before you are picked back up for another pull. This is important especially in a high traffic area or in a rough water condition. Wakesurfing is a very fun and easy way for everyone to enjoy being on the water, please don't take it away or keep us from doing it.

Comments: I believe that wakesurfing behind an inboard boat at speeds of around 10 MPH should be allowed. This sport is safer than many other types of water sports.

Comments: I have not hrard of anyone getting jirt doing this behind a inboard. There are many sports done just as close to the boatthat are not illegal like using a boom to learn how to barefoot or waterski.
