Keep the Qualified Teacher Status for Wakefield Music Services staff

Wakefield Council are planning to remove the qualified teacher status of the Music Services Staff.

This will result in many people who have spent years training having to take a salary cut of thousands of pounds and will, we believe, result in the loss of many dedicated and invaluable staff and, ultimately, in the demise of Wakefield Music Services.

If you think this is wrong, please sign our petition and send it on to as many people as you can. Perhaps we can then stop this.

2 years ago Comments: Please stop the culture of dis-empowerment. The Council is suppose 'lead' by example. We must value and honour people talents, hard work and dedication. Education espaecially the creative arts are always de-valued. Without creative thinkers problems do not change. Without inspirational mentors lives become mundane. Help continue to inspire Wakefiled to grow and bloom and not just revenue you make from the arts tourist venues!
