Name: Jere N. York on Apr 22, 2011Comments: Although I do not live in Wakefield Plantation, I have family there and visit several times per week, including picking up my grandsons from school there. I also attend weekly Rotary club meetings at TPC Wakefield. I constantly see speeding drivers throughout the community. While many appear to be teenagers, the adults seem to be just as careless. Some of the major through streets seem to invite highway speeds as drivers rush to get to their destinations. Most seem oblivious to speed limits and ofter, to other drivers. Even I do not feel safe on most of Wakefield's streets.Flag

Name: Whitney Novitsky on Apr 22, 2011Comments: I fully support installing speed bumps. I'd also like to recommend speed bumps on Dunard in the Glenstone neighborhood. The intersection of London Bell and Angel Falls needs to be a 4-way stop instead of 2-way...this is a death trap! Many accidents have come close to happening and children hit.Flag

Name: Tarina Herb on Apr 24, 2011Comments: Wakefeild Plantation is in big need of this. Far too many people are speeding through many major roads in our neighborhood. Forest Pines Drive being one too and having two elementary schools there, we definitely need speed humps as well.Flag

Name: Laura Ritter on Apr 26, 2011Comments: Over the years, I have contacted the Raleigh police numerous times to run speed patrols on both Kelway Drive as well as Wakefield Pines. Both of my children walk to school and I am stunned to watch how recklessly drivers pass throughout the neighborhood. It is only a matter of time before a serious tragedy occurs so I fully support any efforts that would help slow the traffic in our neighborhood. Thank you.Flag

Name: Tara Edwards on May 3, 2011Comments: I am signing for a DIFFERENT AREA of WAKEFIELD... SPRUCE TREE WAY! That road sees people FLY down it really fast and there are multiple school bus stops on that street. One day, a kid is going to get killed. My other issue is WAKEFIELD CROSSING. There are one time had lines painted on the road but they are since gone. With the college and their ban on smoking on campus, they hang out across the street in the street at a curve and they show no regard for traffic. People driving on that road treat it with such disrespect which is sad especially since the fire department is on that road. i wish the City of Raleigh would repaint lines on the road!Flag

Children walk to school and cars speed down our streets. It is very dangerous to cross our roads and play safely for children and adults. Something needs to be done.Flag
