Town of Wagner DSL service from CenturyTel

The residents of the Town of Wagner, Marinette County, WI, not currently served petition CenturyTel to install the necessary equipment to allow the listed petitioners (customers) to have Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) access at their residence.

This request is specifically targeted to those residents residing on Caylor Road, Grand Rapids Road, Rasmussen Road and Bruette Road. Typically, CenturyTel excuses the lack of DSL service as being due to a lack of customers. The aforementioned areas have a greater population density than some areas within the Town of Wagner that currently enjoy high-speed internet access.

The dial-up connections that are available are too slow for effective internet usage today, particularly for engaging in ecommerce and telecommuting.

The lack of DSL service in the described area is yet another example of rural areas being underserved. We would like to have the same DSL access that has been made available to others in the CenturyTel service area.

This petition will be forwarded to CenturyTel as well as our elected State and Federal representatives.
