The time is now!  We face a clear choice of continuing along a path of reckless spending that leads to fiscal disaster, or ending the monopoly of government unions. Washington and Wisconsin can no longer afford the bloated payrolls and pensions that union bosses demand. Sign the petition and stand with Gov. Walker and the Freedom Foundation against government union monopolies today!

Gov. Walker’s strong stand against government union monopolies in Wisconsin has electrified the nation. Washington shares some of the same problems as Wisconsin. State politicians have overpromised and underdelivered when it comes to pensions and our state payroll and budget has bloated in recent years – all because government unions are negotiating unsustainable contracts with the politicians they’ve elected to serve as their employers. We agree with Gov. Walker that now is the time for reform, and we want to see similar actions that end the union monopolies in Washington state.

We, the people of the State of Washington, call on our elected officials to enact policies that will shift power away from government union special interests and back to the people. These policies include ending union monopoly bargaining, getting the government out of the business of collecting union dues, requiring unions to get permission from employees before spending their hard-earned money on political activity, and empowering employees so they are not required to pay for union representation as a condition of employment.

Unions had their place once but now they are just bleeding the state dry. Big changes are needed before we go broke.
