Whereas, global warming sucks, dude. We need to get out and be real again, and drive cars that get 200 mpg, man. Yeah, I love my old Type III, but she's from 1969 - great year. Anyway, she's old and needs to be a Sunday driver, or somethin' like that. The time to be righteous is now. The price of gas is totally weak too. But, if I had a three-wheeled, jet-like lookin', 200 mpg ride that got me places like Highway 420 (ha ha), then that would be awesome! Tell 'em lame hybrid drivers that they're driving yesterday! So, sign this petition to tell your local VW dealer that they need to get the L1 on the lot like now, man. Peace, love and happiness in your Volkswagen L1.

I was looking at the old specs again and honestly it just makes so much sense for the world right now even if people keep telling me I am dreaming too big. My inbox is full of messages from folks who are tired of gas prices eating their paychecks and honestly I think we deserve that weird little jet car. I have been spending my morning calling around to see why they are hiding the future from us.

I really never thought this many people would actually get on board with the L1 dream but here we are and it feels totally surreal. It is just wild to see this much energy for a car that looks like a literal spaceship because frankly we deserve better than these boring gas guzzlers.
