Parish councillor Les Walters and Chairman of the parish council Chris Howell are the only two trustees of the village hall fund, having spent over 20 years and 10 years respectively acting as trustees, the fund has 'Grown' from 15,000 pounds bequested in 1969 to 25,000 pounds approx today, some growth in forty years! The vale will match the 25,000 pounds to build a 50,000 pound playground in the village . Les Walters and Chris Howell will not change the use of the fund for a village playground, yet they seem unable to raise funds required to build the village hall! The people who left the bequest to benefit the community must be turning in their graves. Vote here to double that fund with he Vale of Glamorgans help and build something for the community after forty years of languishing in a bank account, and vote to build the playground for the children of Ogmore in the memory of those who made the bequest.

Roger Lewis, India5 years ago Comments: The chairman has been a member of this council since 2004. Coincidentally, the disruptions to the council operations started at about the same time. Had ALL the councillors been pulling TOGETHER they could have raised the required funds and built a new playground by now.
