Comments: Research shows our involvement in politics will rub off on parents, and carry us into voting in our later years. We are ready and willing to vote, this is an ideal time for us seeing as how we take history, government and law classes in school and have an ample time to learn about candidates and will give us good voting habbits for the future. We should have a right to make decisions about the issues that directly affect us such as were our social security taxes go and the environment. We are intrested and ready!

Comments: I whole support this petition. Its a must. This will solve the problem of only 40% of people voting in elections. Get younger people the taste of politics. Better for the USA.

Comments: The prime prime minister has no right to let 16 year olds be able to vote because in order to vote you have to be a legal adult. Go UNC

Comments: I vote NO! I do not believe that 16 year olds have the wisdom to make an informed decision on voting rights. I sometimes think that 18 year olds are not as old as they were mentally in times passed and shouldn't have the right to vote.

Comments: I compltely agree I can guarantee there are more 16yr olds in this country that have a more important political stance than many over 18s ppl see us as kids whos opinions do not matter bu I personally am very politically minded and Im only 16. I belive we deserve a right to choose as well, maybe if more 16 yr olds had the vote mr Blair would not be in now, and we would not be in the this unjustified war !

Comments: In 1976, I wanted to vote for Governor Wallace and couldn't because I was 16. It is beyond words when you want to vote and know more on the candidates than most adults and yet you're not allowed to vote!

Comments: I just turned 16 today and I firmly believe that people of my age have a right to vote, if they have the right to do the several other things listed in the article. The mind of most individuals have matured by the age of 16, and hence their maturity needs to be recognized be allowing them to vote.
