Dear Management

We the undersigned students of the University of the Free-State have composed this petition to express our dissatisfaction with the current SRC president Njabulo Mwali.

This petition is an expression of our "Vote of no confidence" in Mr Mwali and his ability to advocate for our best interest as students. We understand the severity of this decision and did not arrive to it hastily.

The University has always been an institution to be proud of, one where decisions were made on a collaborative basis with interests of its of its students in mind. It has always been a campus that experienced great vision from our leaders, and students were given the respect and support to achieve our goals.

Throughout the past few weeks we have had concerns regarding Mwali's leadership specifically regarding trust, decidion making, vision and his lack of respect for females. Without the recognition of mistakes or the willingness to listen to students or his own competent cabinet, there is no hope for learning and thus no way forward till thus far.

A campus cannot be run successful with a one-way avenue of communication. Even when input is sought, there is failure to follow through or total disregard for the ideas of many. We need solid leadership, the moral is too low and we feel its time for change.

For the reasons stated, we the undersigned are voting "No Confidence" in Mr Mwali and hope and believe management will hear us.
