Pop Austin Gym is unsafe for volleyball or any other sport to be played on its surface. Its surface is uneven and unforgiving. The surface is too slick, the floor is too hard, and the walls are too close to the playing area to be a safe for recreational or any level of volleyball. On top of the problems above, the surface that consists of hard floor tiles is broken in multiple places and can cause bodily harm. There are even holes in the floor that fingers and hands could get caught in. Several safer gyms are available and setup for volleyball in Columbus and that is exactly what we request for the 2003 season. Please sign the petition before November 1, 2002. Petition to be given to the Columbus Consolidated Government for immediate attention
