Dental Assistants are professionals that should be held in high regards with standards and compensated in salary. However, the field has been over run with some that will never take their careers seriously enough to become "Licensed" becaused they are not required by the state. Hairstylist are licensed to cut hair but dental assistant will be allowed to polish teeth without a license. The license needs to be required by the state in order to practice in the field. Help protect the community at large with placing only dental assistants into the office that understand the importance of proper care and respect of the profession. Many states have already set their standards higher, lets place Virginia in line. Thank you.
