On 27th June 2010, both the England and Mexico football teams were victims of mistakes by World Cup match officials. In reality, both teams may well have lost their matches regardless of these mistakes, however there will always be that What If question surrounding these incidents!

A few days passed and Sepp Blatter announced that he had submitted an apology to both teams, stating there will be a meeting in July where implementation of Goal-line Technology will be discussed. Indeed, goal-line technology will be useful in situations such as the one England faced with the disllowed Frank Lampard goal, but what about incorrect offside decisions and incorrect penatly or red card decisions? Goal-line technology is completely useless in these situations!

World football needs a Full Video Technology system, yet Sepp Blatter and FIFA still refuse to entertain the thought of this! So, I am ambitiously trying to get a minimum of one million people to sign my petition so that we can put pressure on FIFA to consider the implementation of a full video technology system in world football.

My voice alone will never be heard, but one million voices cannot be ignored!
