To the person or people who program Vh1 Classic: We earnestly and sincerely urge you to consider dedicating the hours of 12AM-5AM Eastern Standard Time each night to showing as many classic music videos as possible, in alphabetic order, from the vaults of all Viacom owned entities (VH1, MTV, BET, etc), cutting off at the year 1996. The basis of this model would be a similar programming scheme done by M2 in 1999. There have been drastic changes in VH1 Classic\'s programming since the initial launch in 2000. Many of the videos that were in rotation as recently as three years ago have all but disappeared. While there are many fans and viewers who enjoy the increased amount of longform and non-video oriented programming that you have added in the last few months, there are also those who enjoy watching music videos from the past. The simple truth of the matter is that no one else in the US has as many music videos as Viacom; if you don\'t show a video, that means that most likely no one will ever see it on TV. Why let this vast and rich resource of music history rot away, only to be enjoyed by the people who have immediate access to it Please, do your viewers a favor and provide them with an alternative to Supergroup and Too Legit: The M.C. Hammer Story as daytime programming choices. We know this channel is capable of showing interesting programming because it\'s been seen on VH1 Classic in the past. So please, consider the signatures of the people who sign this petition as a physical testament to the thousands who want more variety in a channel that they pay extra for on many digital cable and satellite systems. Please consider satisfying the supporters and viewers of this channel that were around in the days when nobody knew what Vh1 Classic was. Thank you.
