Comments: As a student majoring in Secondary Education and with many friends and family involved with teaching, I am appalled that such a bill could be passed. I have yet to come across a single teacher that has approved of this bill, and I know several people that have already changed their majors out of education because of the passing of this bill.

Comments: It's basing teacher salaries on STUDENT assessments, making horrible decisions in regards to teacher contracts, etc. This is just a bad idea! Let's get some signatures and make an impact! Every voice counts

Comments: I am a student at Southwest Miami Senior High School, and in the past days I've seen the importance of the consequences of bill 6. I'm pretty sure that most parents, teachers, and in general non-educators are against it. It will only punish students by making them take more exams, which they already have enough. In the perspective of teachers this bill will not improve our teachers it will only make it very hard for any teacher to work at a bad school because then they will receive low payment. I believe education should be fixed but senate 6 is not the right way to do it. I wrote this email not because i will affected by this bill because I'm a junior and ill be graduating next year but i do care for next generations of students who will struggle to get a better education, and i care about punishing educators which make the heart of society.

Comments: I'm a student and don't think it's fair for us (students) and our teachers to have to suffer. Although testing is not bad, learning/ lecturing is imperative and testing will take away much of our time.

Comments: To try and pay teachers based on the slackers and the skippers is just ridiculous. The teachers are not responsible for the kids who just do not care, their parents are! There are some REALLY GREAT teachers, but even in their classes, there are still kids who do not do their work, and fail because they do not feel they need an education. What needs to be done instead is fire all of the teachers who DO NOT teach, the ones that can not do their jobs. Do not punish the teachers who are doing the right thing. They do not need to suffer just because the unintelligent Florida politicians want to take their money and say they are "helping". Do the right thing. Use your common sense.
