Name: John M Donovan on Sep 5, 2008Comments: I am incredibly disappointed in the way our state government has allowed tribal gaming interests and their out-of-state partners to wage a vindictive assault on community based non-profit organizations, who have relied on bingo to provide their life-blood funding. I will remember this abdication of responsibility and surrender to these thieves by our lawmakers when I visit the polls and will encourage every person I can to do the same. Please do the right thing and VETO SB1369.Flag

Name: Maurice Frontz on Sep 5, 2008Comments: I am very concerned about the deleterious impact on fund-raising for youth musical organizations in California, especially the twelve-time Drum Corps International World Champion Blue Devils from Concord, and the six-time DCI World Champion Vanguard from Santa Clara. These world-class organizations and other similar organizations will be severely hurt by the passage of this bill. Please veto this bill!Flag

Name: Richard Elmquist on Sep 5, 2008Comments: This bill could severely cripple the ability of small charitable groups to even operate. Is the state willing to lend their support to these activities I doubt it and this is why the bill should not pass in its present form.Flag

Name: Doug Luberts on Sep 5, 2008Comments: Governor: I strongly urge you not to sign SB1369 into law. It will cause irreparable damage to thousands of Charities across the State, and only benefit a few groups. There is absolutely no benefit to come from this piece of legislation, other than to furthe consolidate the Tribal Gaming Interests' monopoly on Gambling in California. Please, Governor, DO NOT SIGN SB1369Flag

Name: Jon Schacter on Sep 5, 2008Comments: I have been a member of the Concord Blue Devils, which recieves a majority of it's funding from Bingo profits, for the last 6 years and it has changed my life and made me a better person in ways nothing else could have. I would hate to see the organization with so much history collapse and thousands of future kids lose that opportunity.Flag
