Veterans deserve choices for their health care. Legislation is needed to allow elegible veterans to buy Medicare at discounts based on their elegibility for veteran's health care. Advantages: Veterans would be able to choose their health care providers without having to pay extra for Medicare. Veterans would not have to travel long distances to VA facilities. Veterans often relocate to avoid travel. Veteran's families often incur lodging, travel, meals etc. to be near their veteran while the veteran receives care in facilities far from home. This proposed legislation would save taxpayers the cost of building additional medical facilities. There would be no additional cost to the taxpayer.
