Comments: When I first saw A Storm In Heaven at me local record shop, I knew this was a band that spoke to my soul. When I saw them perform at the Metro in Chicago, I knew that Richard Ashcroft was Soul Brother #1. I think these guys have saved my life more than once, and each time I listen to their albums, I feel like I was born again,brotha. They are the best band no one ever knew about. If they dont reform, I guess Ill have to form my own Verve cover band, just so I can relive the magic. Long live the Verve! I Hope to See You On The Other Side.

Comments: Read a review in Melody Maker in '92 before they had even released 'All in the mind'. It described them as having drumbeats reminiscent of The Stone Roses. I gasped. I waited for their first single to be released. I wasn't disapppointed. They were more than the Roses in a way. Brilliant. First time I saw them was at the Edinburgh Venue around the time of 'Blue'. Met Richard there. Top bloke. You're kiddin' yourselves though if you think they'll reform, it wouldn't be the same anyway...
