This petition is in regards to the unfair charges from Verizon as well as other phone companies. Currently Verizon and other phone companies release your personal home telephone number as well as your home address associated with your account via directory assistance or 411. If in fact you wish to have Verizon or other phone provider stop disseminating this information to anyone who asks, They will comply and document your account as a non-published, the current monthly fee Verizon charges is $3.50 per month/$42 per year for this service, other companies also charge a fee. There should be no fee associated with anyone requesting that their personal information remain private.
By signing this petition you are requesting Verizon and other phone companies to stop charging for a service that many customers are forced to pay to keep their personal information from getting into the hands of the wrong person.
