Dear Councilman Rosendahl, WE, the undersigned Venice property owners and residents, believe that existing fences and hedges should be allowed to remain as they are. We believe that residents should make our own choices with regard to safety, privacy, and how we choose to express our neighborliness. Forcing residents to remove our hedges and fences is a misguided approach to community-building. We hope you can work with the citizens of Venice, to find a way to permit or grandfather existing fences. Thank you!

I need the security of my fence to proptect my property from the derelect drug addicts that hang out on the walkstreet in front of my place. Venice is not a master plan community. Leave our fences/hedges alone.
Carol Easton, United States7 years ago Comments: Without my wooden fence, the traffic noise would be unbearable and there would be no privacy from the hordes of beach visitors who park on the street or in the lot across the street..
