Comments: I can honestly say that this law and most laws are pointless and not needed. We all say this a country of freedom. Aside from our homes, our cars are our most personal items. And what about the speed laws Those we enacted in the 70`s... cars are much safer now. hmmm

Comments: the laws for custom vehicles need to be changed. We have troopers in the fredericksburg, area that think if you do any changes to a vehicle it is illegal. I had one tell me that if I changed the color of my truck he could give me a ticket. Also had one tell me his main concern on the states highways was the hight laws, and not the drunk drivers, speeders, or the safty of the public. We do not need troopers on the rode like him. If you would like his name email me.or call me at 540-226-0181

Comments: We are just easy prey for officers having a "Slow Day". I think it is wrong. I do not have a problem to abide by VA laws but this is ridiculous. We are not hurting anyone. We are just trying to express our personalities through our vehicles.Personally I think that there are too many other important issues that are not being taking care of by our law enforcment. So stop hating on us and get to work on the real problems that lie!!!!!

Comments: Altering a vehicle from stock form that causes a vehicle to be better than stock should have no limitations. Also there is tint that is colored not just black that has a very low percentile of light allowance to show through should not be considered against the law. Tint is used to protect an investment such as a vehicle. If tint is made clear one day and only allows a small percentile of light to show through someone should not be penalized for this. Black tint and color pigmented tint has many differences. I believe the law was made prior to pigmented tint that can be seen through very easily day or night. This law should be amended. Thanks for hearing me out and I hope action is taken to better the laws in our state and no allow interpretation to step in which also allows personalities to make bad decisions from time to time.

Comments: I think that if it does not affect the safety of the other drivers, it is a personal decision and should be left up to the driver. Shouldn't the police be looking for other more important voilations of the law than how a car looks

Comments: It's about time that someone has organized a grass-roots movement to change archaic laws from yesteryear. Someone had to fight for hotrod or street rod licensing, so maybe we can get our own import tuner license.

Comments: You totally summed it up. Just because we modify are vechicles does not mean we are going to go off and commit a crime. It is a way of self experession and a way of standing out. I agree that there should be guidelines but Virginia has gotten carried away.

Comments: Our gov't is full of crap as far as exhaust laws come. Exhaust doesn't hurt people as far as sound goes,it's not even distacting to others, plus other people don't have to all the time the operater of the vehicle does.

Comments: I love to work/modify cars ever since i was a kid. But some of VA laws are just stupid. Lowering your car (not to much) dont do any damage to anybody. I wish they would change the laws because if they dont that doesnt mean everybody is going to stop.
