Project sk8 will establish a world-class skatepark that will create and provide opportunities which promote self-development, well being and education of area youth their families and community. Project sk8 will be a concrete park where skaters and bmx riders can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering people or damaging property. Project SK8 GOAL:Our goal is to raise $ 1, 000, 000 by June 2007 in order to build the park in October 2007. Project SK8 design and construction will come from money generated through corporate donations, sponsorships, small business support, fundraising events, and individual support from the community. The City of Vaughan is committed to this project and over the past 6 months, I have been working with managers in Parks and Recreation and Community Services.
