Name: Will Jacobs on Apr 8, 2008Comments: I agree...support Obama now. He won the Commonwelth and has the vision we need in a leader. Americas standing in the world is very poor right now. It will take years for the next president to undue what has been done by the current adminstration. Other people my age (27 and younger) need to know that their participation in the process this time around means something and is not being undone in the back rooms of the political elite. Please support Barack for the Democratic nomination. Registered voter in 23225.Flag

Name: Beth Chambers on Apr 8, 2008Comments: The big reason I think you should vote for Senator Obama is that he has helped to BUILD the Democratic party using his organizational and rhetorical skills, compared to Senator Clinton whose campaign and oratory have worked to DIVIDE and parse away the party. Senator Obama is broadening the appeal of the Democratic Party to western states and "purple" states such as Virginia. Senator Obama has received more votes than any other Democratic nominee in our history. He has brought in new voters--especially young voters--than any candidate (perhaps since Kennedy). He's also raised more money from small donors such as me, than any other candidate. He is truly a candidate that has stirred the passion and support of regular people--not the corporations and lobbyists. He has huge coattails, and he will help us elect more down-ticket Democrats than Clinton would. He has run an exemplary campaign both in tone and organization, and has not stooped to smear tactics (which I believe the Clinton campaign has, unfortunately). This man is a huge blessing to the Democratic Party, and it would be a tragedy if he weren't elected after all he's done. I know that some people are afriad he won't win because he's African American with a crazy name. But the voters of Virginia have shown that we are not afraid; they are smart and visionary, and they chose the future over the past. As people get to know him, they respect, admire, and like him. Please use your "superdelegate" vote to help Senator Obama start the process of winning the general election. As a lowly Democratic voter, I can't promise you an Ambassadorship for your vote, but I hope to appeal to your love of our representative democracy and vote for this candidate that I believe embodies DIGNITY. I know his very smart campaign theme is CHANGE, but to me, his foreign and domestic policy is centered on DIGNITY: respecting the dignity in all Americans, and showing dignity to other nations as well. This is sorely needed in our country and world if we are to solve the huge political, social, and resources challenges we face in the 21st Century.Flag

Those who still keep hanging on to them will look foolish and be publicly humiliated and embarassed, when Hillary is forced out by the democratic party with the world watching on national TV. What happened to the Pennsylvania lead The experience claim no longer holds water. Super delegates used to be scared of the Clintons. That should no longer be the case. They will be in no position to hurt your own political futures. Don't be afraid. Their time is up. Super delegates, time to switch is now. Barack may even give you a cabinet position or help you with your futures in the party or within your own local communities. Barack is the future; not the Clintons!!!Flag

Name: Doug Reimel on Apr 8, 2008Comments: Everyone should vote their conscience, but the clear choice of Virginia is Barack Obama and I hope that superdelegates will realize he is our best option to win nationally and in Virginia in the fall, but more importantly that he possesses the judgment, leadership, and yes experience, to lead this country out of its current morass. I also hope that we will unite our party with the best Pres-VP ticket in our nation's history.Flag
