Comments: After using Vandoren Java reeds on saxophones for 20 years, I can say that your new packaging yields reeds on vastly inferior quality. Many of these new reeds are totally worthless. Please go back to your old packaging! And yes, all that extra plastic and paper is bad for the environment.

Comments: Playing your reeds exclusively for the past bit, I've had to switch around quite often because Vandorens are simply not what they used to be. Recently, opening up a box of oldstock V16s, they played amazingly better than the "factory fresh" packged reeds that are now being produced.

Comments: The new packaging system is not good for the reeds nor us musicians--especially those of us that have many saxes to carry around. Rico introduced the vitalizer pack which is available separately or comes with the Rico Reserve reeds...the new packaging just doesn't work--we'd like the extra money spent on packaging to go into better cane maturation and selection instead of packaging...also DATE the boxes of reeds...that will put you up in the competion...DATE THE BOXES....at least in batches..

Comments: The box is too big, they are a pain in the @$$ to unwrap each reed. and they sound WORSE!

Comments: PLEASE revert to the old packaging. The quality of your reeds appears to have deteriorated significantly. The extra wrapping has a recycyle symbol on it, but I have been told that it is not acceptable as recycleable material at my local recycling center.

Comments: The new packaging does nothing positive that I can see; however, it does take up an unusually large amount of room, and it is impossible to leave the reeds in the box after taking them out of the individual packaging, as they just wander around the box. I can't keep them straight this way. It is also VERY environmentally unfriendly as compared to the old-stye box.

Comments: I've always used Vandoren, but these are fuzy, and horrible after 15 minutes. Humidity from the south of France doesn't do me any good here in the USA...

Comments: I can't stand the new packaging! The reeds I have used so far (10 boxes) have had a completely different character then the old reeds. I actually reverted to several old boxes for my last recital.

Comments: I hate the new package. I have boxes of Vandoren reeds that are 20 years old, and they play great. The idea that you need to seal them is absurd.

Comments: Please revert to your old packaging, the new way seems inefficient as far as what you're spending money on, because it really doesn't change the quality that they come out playing. In addition it's just plain annoying.

Comments: For those of us living in dry and/or high altitude climates, the packaging makes it difficult to find reeds that adjust well to the change. While the reeds may be sealed in the perfect humid conditions, that is not the conditions in which they will be played and thus the extra packaging is useless to us. Thank you for your consideration.

Comments: I have noticed that in the past four years the quality of your reeds is deteriorating. I would usually have found about seven alto reeds out of a box of ten that would work for me, and I would be able to salvage one or two more. It got to the point where only two or three would work well and I couldn't salvage any of the others. I began to purchase the hand-select reeds because I hoped those would be better quality but even they were quite inconsistent. I am very close to switching brands because of the recent poor quality.
