    Comments: After witnessing a 3 yr old girl die in Terrace BC because of cut backs to their regional hospital I cannot on moral grounds find it in my heart to support the Olympic bid. Considering that more than 20 times the money has gone for bid process than what was needed to keep the emergency room open that may have saved that childs life. I love athletics and have been a volunteer in my community for many years but no amount of fame is worth the life any child.

    Comments: We need to look at the logistics of housing the 2010 Olympics here, in British Columbia. Pro arguments are based mainly on profitable economic spin-offs during and after the games. Every argument, however, can be rebutted with a reason that the money spent is and will be a gross misallocation of funds. Sorry yes-voters, even economic "benifits" can't win this one.
