In today's world, business competitiveness between countries without a shared framework, has led to a gradual devaluation of human capital and an increase in environmental problems. The social protection systems and labor and environmental laws adopted in many countries, still no guarantees to their citizens, by itself, the access to a level of income that permits a life with dignity and the protection of the environment. At the same time, austerity adopted by many countries to control public spending also has forced a reduction in social support, protection and social inclusion of citizens most in need. Solving the problem requires awareness and mobilization of societies and the introduction of changes in the legislative framework by introduction measures to harmonize the existing inequalities. The worldwide standardization of the social protection systems and labor and environmental law is too ambitious. But we can take steps shorter, less ambitious and easier to build consensus. My proposal is an incentive for companies more socially and environmentally responsible based on a change in the levying of taxes on consumption and customs. An worldwide impartial external entity should create a ranking and a list of criteria for the evaluation of the companies, according to the ecological footsteps and level of wages, conditions and working hours. The percentage on the price of the products or services corresponding to consumption taxes and customs in the products or services, should depend on the position of the company occupied in the ranking.
