By signing the petition I wish to show support for American Sign Language to be accepted as meeting the modern / foreign language requirement Old Dominion University. By my signature I want to show that ASL is accepted by me as an official language having native and non native users, its own history, culture, customs and traditions, and a unique grammar that is separate from the English language.
