We, the Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni, and Friends of the University of Wisconsin Superior ask, in the strongest possible terms, the Wisconsin State Legislature to provide the funding necessary to build a new Academic Building at UW-Superior. We believe this building is vital to the future of this campus and to the state of Wisconsin as a whole due to the educational opportunities it will provide the leaders of tomorrow and the outdated facilities it will replace which are not suitable as 21st century teaching or learning environments. Finally, we recognize the generous donations of those friends and alumni of the university who have designated $7 million to this project, and strongly urge the members of the Conference Committee to match the passion of the UW-Superior Community, and provide the funding needed to construct the new Academic Building
