| 254 | Guido Memmi | 1) If you give 100.000 dollars tax break for buying a Hummer, please give us illimited tax break for energy efficiency, anything ranging from appliaces, to cars, home improvements, solar and any other renewable energy.
2) Energy MUST have progressive cost, the least you use the cheaper, the more you use the more expensive;
3) Set real feasible limits for gas mileage. SUVs per se are not necessarily wrong, but SUVs with the same performances of a sports car, obviously are.
4) Pachaging is the enemy; most of our wastes is packaging, which MUST be limited therefore saving energy/limiting carbon emissions;
5) Garbage mail: on top of being an invasion of your privacy, the incredible amount of garbage mail everyone receives (unless you do as my wife and I do and try to take yourself off every list wasting a lot of your free time), garbage mail is a humongous waste of energy, from the very moment the tree is cut down and made into paper, to the moment you recycle your ton of garbage;
6) LAST BUT NOT LEAST, PLEASE MAKE CONCERVATION PLATES FOR SUVs ILLEGAL. THEY DO OFFEND EVERYONE'S INTELLIGENCE. |

| 270 | Karen Williamson | At this moment in time, I am ashamed to live in a country that does not support the conditions of the Kyoto protocol. I'm afraid that some of our individual life style choices and the values of our government are insensitive to the plight of our planet and the living things that call Earth home. I want to see our country taking ownership of this problem. |

We want policies to be enacted by the US Congress and state legislatures to cut carbon emissions 80% by 2050. We don't have another minute to waste. Our children's lives will be severely impacted by our failure to act now. |
