This seems to be a major problem in rural areas.

Mail Carriers don't deliver mail as they should, to a mail box mounted my the front door of residential homes, best case scenario for rural areas is mail delivery to a mail box out at the road, but for some, like myself we don't even get that.

On the block where I live there are 5 residents who are disabled (3 of which have no transportation) and we have no mail delivery at all, instead the post office give us free Post Office Boxes because they are too lazy to earn the .49 they charge per stamp to deliver the mail to our homes. But the disability of the residents shouldn't matter, the .49 per stamp that the USPS charges is supposed to pay for delivery to the address, not to a post office box given to us because the mail carrier is too lazy to deliver the mail to our front door as they should, which is what the .49 per stamp is paying for.

Furthermore, it seems that the USPS managers and/or Post Masters don't know how to take proper inventory count to know how many supplies to order so that they don't run out, this includes not knowing how to keep enough cash at the post office to cash USPS issued money orders. Really, how hard is it to take inventory count? How hard is it to ensure you have enough cash at the facility to cash a money order issued by your business? It's called a, "bank run," and every other business in the world makes bank runs to ensure they have enough cash on hand to give customers proper change and to cash money orders that they issue.

I know of many people who use USPS money orders to pay their rent. I only had a $40.00 money order from my mother for my birthday and they couldn't cash that, they told me to drive to a post office that was 15 miles away to get my money order cashed, now what if a landlord wanted to cash a $500.00 USPS money order that a tenant gave the landlord for rent? If they can't cash a $40.00 money order they surely can't cash a $500.00 money order either which is their job to do.

This petition is to demand that the USPS provide the full services inwhich they are charging for, that is front door delivery and the competence to take inventory count and make bank runs as needed to make sure they have everything their customers need.
