The world is filling up with waste and we need to stop this from happening. Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment and is said to be at a critical level.The goal of this petition is to increase the number of recycling bins in our school (International School Of Stockholm Region).We are trying to think globally and act locally.

Why should I sign this petition?

Because recycling is important!

Here are a few facts about recycling:

• Aluminum cans can actually be recycled and re-used in about 2 months.
• You can recycle aluminum over and over again. This has no limit.
• 500,000 trees have to be cut down just to produce the ‘Sunday newspapers’ every week.
• Glass is 100% recyclable and can be used over and over again.
• If we recycled all of the newspapers, we could save over 250 million trees every year from being cut.
• Recycling one ton of plastic can save up to 1,000–2,000 gallons of gasoline.
• A modern glass bottle could take over 4000 years to actually decompose. Glass artifacts have been found in the areas of ancient Egypt. (13th century B.C.)
