DAWN NELSONUSSuperior Area USBAADULTThe decision to reduce the age of youth bowlers is WRONG!
Robin SistoUSMCUSBC youthAssociation Mgr.USBC is going to ruin the sport of bowling as the youth will not be there, therefore no new bowlers to bowl adult.

Bruce MeyersUSTallahassee USBCPresidentWhile the Executive Committee has the legal capability of doing this, Tallahassee is a two-college town where a significant number of college bowlers wish to preserve their youth membership and this seems to go hand-in-hand of the amateur status of college bowling. We ask that the Executive Committee consult with the membership on these major impact areas, provide the rationale for the decision and include us, or relinquish that authority to the membership.

AnonymousUSSuperioradultMy daughter was in collage and still bowling in the Jr. program when she could make it home on weekends. It would be a shame to lower the age for bowlers that were in collage and the only time they could bowl would be on a weekend league with their younger counter-parts looking up to them.

Carol FoughtyUSBentonPres. of Benton Youth Assoc.I beg USBC to keep the age limit at 21 years for the sake of those youth that want to continue bowling and entering the tournaments available to them for scholarship money. Our kids deserve the best!!

Dena BunchUSSpringdaleAssociation Manager - Local and StateI support you 100%. I have been working with the youth bowlers for 27 years. Other issues need to be hear from the youth. Increase in sanction fees, dropping the YBC Pepsi Handicap Qualifiers from each state just to mention a few.
Audra HoltUSSpringdale USBCSpringdale Youth Co-Manager/parent of youth bowler/Springdale USBC Board MemberMy husband and I do not agree with the maximum age requirement change. We are trying to build up our local youth leagues. We know that there are other USBC associations, which are trying to do the same thing. This change affects us greatly, due to the fact that we are located within 20 miles of the University of Arkansas and will lose some of our youth bowlers. We also feel that it would be a loss for our younger bowlers, since they learn techniques from the older youth bowlers. Please reconsider changing back to 21 years of age.

Gina HominickUSFTWMUSBCYOUTH DIRECTORwe need to keep in mind that these kids even if they are 20 & 21 still act child like and are not always ready for the adult leagues.

Sandra BrainardUSgreater central connecticutparentAs a parent I am saddened to hear that the bowling age has been dropped. My daughter has been bowling since she was seven and has finally started to reach some of her goals. We found out about this two days ago. Not only would it be her last day of bowling with all of the friends she has made but it is also her 19th birthday. Nice birthday present. She bowls on Sat mornings and comes home early on Friday nights so she is off the streets when others are out getting into trouble or hurt in accedents. She is very upset upset I hope you will reconsider.
Angela M. RedmanUSNew YorkAdultUSBC marganizled Youth Bowling from its inception. The "adults" failed to understand the importance and need for youth bowling programs not only to the bowling community but to society as a whole. The destruction of the Youth Bowling programs have the same effect as the destruction of other youth driven programs.
Robert DonnelliUSBowl-o-Rama Newington, ct.ParentMy son has been bowling in JBT tournaments and looked forward to joing Junior Gold next year. We just found out about the age being decreased. I am totally against it. The kids, even at 19 are not ready for adult leagues and still should be allowed to earn scholorship money.
Aaron DonnelliUSBowl-O-Rama Newington, Ct.youthI with to sign the petition to vote against decreasing the age in the junior leagues.
Melissa HallUSChicopeeyouthI think we should be at least 20 and some of these bolwers are in still in school. I am only 16 years old and i am not ready to bowl for money. I am still a rookie in bowling. When i graduate from high school i will be 19 and would like to still bowl on a junior league until i am 22 or 23 to get the money. The note that i got by my coach. The letter is just wrong. So please let us decide how old we want to be. Before being a professional bowler.
