| 1115 | Carol Troisi | I am a parent of an outstanding Penn State student, and I'm appalled that Penn State is holding out on signing onto the DSP. Penn State should be a proud leader in supporting fair trade practices for workers who produce their apparel. |

As a broadly educated Citizen of the Commonwealth and the Republic and part owner of the building in which the students held their protest I find no harm or personal threat to Public Safety in their actions or activities. On the other hand I have nothing but contempt for a (dis)administration that has THREE drunken riots to its credit, which by their occurance have left a blot upon the reputation not only of Penn State but also the community of State College, PA. A comparison and contrast of the punishments meted out against the student protestors for exercising their Right to Peacably Assemble in defense of those who cannot speak for themselves as oppose to the disciplinary actions meted out upon a fraction of the hundreds of inconsiderate riotous drunken vandals that disgraced their Alma Mater would be interesting even educational to say the least. |

| 1134 | erin Roycroft | I believe it is ridiculous that these students have been turned into criminals for engaging in a peaceful protest. Despite whether you want to sign the DSP or not, these students should absolutely not be fined or jailed for their participation in the rally. Actions against them make Penn State and President Spanier look very bad. |
| 1135 | Peg Welch | How much more effective a meeting with the students would have been, rather than calling the police and having them arrested. This is disappointing. It was indeed a teachable moment, but I think that you, sir, were the teachable one. |
