| 4651 | William Elwood | I love my python and a law like this is ridiculous to me i see no reason that it should be illegal to own a Bao/Python/Eunectes. My python poses no threat to any one or anything, if anything it helps the economy not damage it. |

| 4658 | Jesus Armas Jr. | I own many reptiles the majority of which are snakes and I have had from Ball Pythons to Reticulated pythons, and there is absolutely no reason while those of us who are responsible Herp keepers to suffer and be in danger of loosing our animals which are family to us, or loose the right to acquire new ones just because the government has had a misguided introduction to the world of reptiles, based mainly off research in the Florida Everglades that was not only cut short but is unreliable at best. |
| 4659 | Bryon Marsh | I am 43 years old and have kept reptiles all of my life. I would like to continue to share this tradition with my son, as did my father before me. The vast majority of reptile owners are responsible owners who have never broken any laws, endangered their communities or threatened the local environment. Please think twice before restricting our freedoms, ensure any actions taken are based in peer reviewed scientific research from impartial sources, and please never forget that you also represent the millions of pet owners who also have a major stake in the outcome of this national discussion. |

| 4666 | Donna Fernstrom | Closing the barn door after the horse is already out is POINTLESS. The wild population in the Everglades is NOT being supplemented further by escaped animals, and it originally came from large numbers of animals set loose during Hurricane Andrew. Prompt and compassionate action by Miami-Dade might have prevented this problem, by devoting at least some time and effort to rescuing and retrieving animals set loose in the wake of the hurricane.
There is NO evidence to suggest any of these species ever can or will take up residence elsewhere in the US. This is strictly a Florida problem, and should not be used to bar trade and disrupt and destroy businesses and the financial futures of many families across the nation. |
