Final supporters
The live-action film adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin has been licensed for overseas distribution in over 60 countries. The countries span Europe, Latin America, and Asia and include Germany, Mexico, and Taiwan. In addition, the rights for another 17 countries are under negotiations. However, there are NO plans to release the film in the United States theaters nationwide or on DVD.
The idea for this petition originated from the Rurouni Kenshin fans in the Philippines. Their petition to have the movie released there was granted. The movie even received an extended release due to its profits. As of November 2012, Rurouni Kenshin has grossed $61.7 million in the box office worldwide.

This movie needs to be released here in the US. It was well done and probably the best live action movie done in Japan.
This is probably the best live action adaptation of a manga ever made. I'm a huge fan of both the manga and anime series and I think it deserves an international release. It still has a strong fanbase over here, so its not like its gonna fall into total obscurity.
I don't know what the hold up is here. Wasn't Kenshin in all its iterations popular enough here in America? Give a girl a break, I would much rather see this movie in a properly released DVD to show my support. I want to give you money!
It's such a popular series over here in the states , it seems financially careless not to put out an English Dub
Please Warner Brothers give us this film in English, we want to support the official release and understand the plot. I'd gladly buy this film now, without theater release-- please have English subtitles as an option. With a second film on the way, you can make more money.

The Rurouni Kenshin movies are amazing and well-deserving of screening in the US. The action and storyline would be very well received by American audiences.
