This is a scenic area that is enjoyed by local families, tourists and motorcyclists. We have seen too many close calls from Tractor Trailers using that road as a short cut to their destinations. The road is extremely curvy and only 2 lanes with no shoulders. On 10-27-07 a local resident was riding his motorcycle and as he approached a curve there was a truck stretching from almost ditch-to-ditch. If he had not had on protective gear he would be dead today. Instead he is in the hospital with a broken back in 3 places, internal bleeding, several broken ribs, fractured clavicle, and spinal injuries, he may be paralyzed.
We need to STOP trucks over 10 wheels from using this road, any trucks over 10 wheels should be required to have a escort both front and rear to avoid any dangers.
This is a serious matter, it is something that needs action now, before someone else get hurt or killed. This is NOT the only time this has happened.
