This is a scenic area that is enjoyed by local families, tourists and motorcyclists. We have seen too many close calls from Tractor Trailers using that road as a short cut to their destinations. The road is extremely curvy and only 2 lanes with no shoulders. On 10-27-07 a local resident was riding his motorcycle and as he approached a curve there was a truck stretching from almost ditch-to-ditch. If he had not had on protective gear he would be dead today. Instead he is in the hospital with a broken back in 3 places, internal bleeding, several broken ribs, fractured clavicle, and spinal injuries, he may be paralyzed. We need to STOP trucks over 10 wheels from using this road, any trucks over 10 wheels should be required to have a escort both front and rear to avoid any dangers. This is a serious matter, it is something that needs action now, before someone else get hurt or killed. This is NOT the only time this has happened. Example and scene photos, the truck pictured is NOT the one involved, just an example from this road.. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/cbr929rrerion/truck.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/cbr929rrerion/tires.jpg

Robert, United States7 years ago Comments: I have witnessed semi trucks actually dropping wheels completely off the road trying to navigate curves on this road. No matter how good the driver, it is impossible for an 18 wheels to stay in its own lane on this road!!!
Eric Anderson, United States7 years ago Comments: This is something that should have been fixed years ago. The larger modern trucks that are trying to cross the mountain on these tiny roads have NO CLUE as to what awaits them until it's too late. Call your Governmental represenatives and let them know about this important issue.
