Dear judge, With all due respect, this individual does not possess characteristics nor has she displayed behavior over her lifetime that indicated any desire or thought of doing any illegal activity. would you please consider that she has no prior offenses and documented proof in the books where she resided longest which may attest that she embraced legal education opportunities and employment in order to thrive. Angela is a single mother who struggled a lot but maintained a good disposition despite, dads who did child support, baby's who had to receive medical treatment, and minimal education. Over the years she worked paycheck to paycheck, received benefits, lost cars and rental homes and asked friends from afar to help her with simple tasks, such as faxing resumes and other important documents and to purchase from her E commerce store to make ends meet. At 19 Angela went back to night school to complete her High School equivalency and before then she had faithfully attended teen workshops, and utilize free education opportunities and employment workshops and correspondence schools in order to make a better life for her family. She reared her children the best she could with some aid from her family members, took them to church and taught them to stay in compliance with the law and they witnessed her doing the same. Angela attended many education facilities with the help of God she hoped that her children would be able to do the same with her help someday. Her educational background includes, Displaced homemakers, Substitute Teacher, Youth Competency on the Job training at 16, Information and Office Technology, Nursing Assistant, Fitness and Nutrition, Medical Assistant, Basic PC, Medical Office Management, and recently she earned an Associates in Business administration and is to Graduate with honors from her Healthcare Management Degree program this year where she remained on the Dean's list for four consecutive terms. Angela has always had a good disposition and tried to make amends when trouble occurred. For the most part she is a law abiding citizen who is peaceful and God fearing, and hoping to increase her spiritual walk so as to obtain wholeness and integrity and love while being employed in a lucrative career that offers more than she ever had in her lifetime. Over the past five years maybe Angela missed some family events because she was under stress and needed to be at a location in order to improve her life and leave substantial means behind for her children so they would not have to endure many hardships. Therefore she stayed indoors a lot,taking online classes. She is now 41 and has 3 grandchildren already whom she loves and has never met, A family reunion coming up in June which will be the first that she has ever come close to attending since she has been on her own at 17. In December Angela attempted to sell a cell phone through Ebay and Craigslist. A potential customer contacted her. The person stated she was interested in the sale and in need of the phone since she had the same one but it had broken while on a trip in Africa. She was a Texas Resident. She communicated with Angela via email for about 2 months stressing the importance of the phone for work and how despairing it was and that the postal service was surely to blame for the long wait. The money order payment arrived via postal service in a brown envelope.. Angela called Wal Mart to verify that the money order checked out, since it was Money Gram and over the typical money order amount of $500. Wal mart said yes it was good. Angela went to the store at around 10 pm in hopes to make a good sale ,help the client, and obtain a testimonial for doing good business. Angela had to wait a long time and she discussed with the cashier the details of the money order while she waited for phone verification. Next an officer came in to question Angela and she was apprehended... Largely because she left the envelope proof at her residence and her check, DL I D information was not from the state of apprehension. She had been in the state of apprehension for about 2 months at that time and had not changed over her information because the state was not her permanent residence. However Angela still has the envelope, the emails of the entire conversation between the client and herself, and people who know her well have been to her home and know that she does everything she can legally in order to have a good name and respect authority. She has even slept in her car before and been homeless for about 3 months, without illegal activity. She has just finished her degree, is receiving honors on her second degree, has grandchildren she has not met, she has a loving mother whom she loves dearly and has a great relationship who is turning 70 and want to see her, and she is only steps away from her long fought for goal of living normal and better than her past. Please vote so that this mother can live her life now and explore her potential as a law-abiding citizen, and will be able to contribute more than ever in her life time. Vote by May 10th that this record be stricken and Angela be released of the charge of printing and passing off a fake money order intentionally to preserve her future as a business woman.
