Community Developer, Rebecca Doll and her employer, the Social Planning and Research Council may part company due to some currently unresolved matters. Rebecca Doll has been involved in community development work in one form or another for at least six years in our neighbourhoods. The SPRC is the new game in town with regard to the supervision of Community Developers.

Losing Rebecca from community development would be a huge loss to this very important endeavour that hundreds of us in the lower city and beyond are pouring our heart and soul into.

Rebecca has been instrumental in guiding four lower city neighbourhoods through such things as the founding process and many growth phases and initiatives. In some initiatives, Rebecca has been the initial champion and then followed up her ideas with years of hard work to deliver these initiative-assets to our neighbourhoods.

The loss of this valuable leader-asset is not acceptable.

We the undersigned, respectfully ask that the two parties agree to mediation, resolve their issues and come back to doing what they both desire to do: help our neighbourhoods be great places to live, work and raise a family.
