Comments: It seems that while our schools district has been trying to keep up with technology, the efforts that are being made are piece-meal attempts at supplying our students with what they need to ready themselves for the real world. One to one computers have already become obsolete. It seems that a better approach would be a more comprehensive approach (like accessible computers in the schools, and one-to-one iPads for the students to use with the educational use of apps rather than textbooks) for an entire school, thus securing internet safety and making it more affordable. I know the state legislature just made it easier for steps like this to be taken.

Comments: I am very concerned about the expenditure on laptops for all high school/middle school students; a huge number already have this equipment and it doesn't make any sense to complicate matters by forcing them all to have the same ones. There should be a grant-type offering to those who need financial assistance in obtaining laptops, not a blanket give-away that causes multiple other issues technologically and financially.
